82 Years of Dude Ranching memories and still counting ... Welcome! The 63 Ranch history dates from 1863 (hence its name). In 1982 it was the first dude ranch in Montana declared a National Historic Site. Our family has owned and operated The 63 continuously since 1929. The ranch sits at 5,600 feet altitude below Elephant Head Mountain, 50 miles north of Yellowstone National Park, 12 miles from Livingston, Montana. 63 adjoins the two-million acre Gallatin National Forest, straddles Mission Creek Canyon, meets the craggy peaks of the Absaroka Mountains and rolls across grassy hills, rimrock ridges and sagebrush benches above the Yellowstone River. We think it's the prettiest country in the West and you will too! At The 63 there's volleyball, horseshoes, table soccer, billiards, square dancing, cards, games or reading from our library on western life and natural history. There's even a swing set and sandbox for toddlers. Hike trails, climb mountains, explore caves, or watch birds are also available. Mission Creek, full of fat wild trout, runs for 31/2 miles through the ranch. Tucked among aspen and pine, rustic log or frame cabins with modern bathrooms (tub and shower), plenty of hot water, and firm twin beds (double on request) welcome singles, couples or families with comfort, peace and privacy. Our wholesome family style meals receive rave reviews. So if you want to experience the best western vacation you've ever had, join us at the historic 63 Ranch! You'll be glad you did!
Wyoming High Country Guest Lodge
Bison Quest Wildlife Adventure Vacations
Enjoy the most exclusive Bison and Wildlife Adventure anywhere! Feel like you "own" a private bison and wildlife reserve that has live-in wildlife biologists to take care of both the bison and you. Enjoy a vacation where there are no other guests on the entire ranch... It all belongs to you and yours for the time that you are here. Does that sound like your kind of vacation? Once you arrive at the ranch, you'll have time to unpack and settle into your homey log cabin after our rather bumpy and dusty ride. The main floor has one king size or 2 twin beds and a private bathroom with sink, shower and toilet. The half loft upstairs also has 1 or 2 beds depending on your needs. We provide an "old west" feel combined with the luxuriousness of 400+ count fine bed linens, cozy comforters, propane "fireplace", and buffalo robes. We are not a "dude ranch" where you spend your entire vacation and meals with dozens of other people. This is your time and your refuge. Our programs are all-inclusive, from the 3-night weekend package to the 1-week (or longer) vacation package. We offer your group at least one activity daily (more if we can fit them in), but if you’d rather just sit back on your cabin porch surrounded by the bison herd - well, you can do that too! Check out our 6 day / 5 night itinerary, add to it, change it around, make it for more or less days... you decide! This is your private bison and wildlife adventure vacation.
