Christine Falls
Christine Falls is one of the most charming and easily enjoyed waterfalls in Mount Rainier National Park, and it is a wonderful stop for anyone traveling the road between Longmire and Paradise. Located along the historic Nisqually to Paradise corridor, about 4.5 miles east of Longmire, this beautiful waterfall is tucked into a narrow, forested canyon where Van Trump Creek drops in two graceful tiers before disappearing beneath the road.
What makes Christine Falls so memorable is the classic view from below, where the lower drop is perfectly framed by the old stone Christine Falls Bridge. The combination of rushing white water, mossy rock walls, deep green forest, and the graceful arch of the bridge creates one of the most photographed scenes in the park. The falls drop about 69 feet in all, with the upper and lower sections separated by the roadway, giving visitors a close-up look at the power and beauty of Mount Rainier’s mountain streams.

Because parking is limited, it is best to stop early in the day or during quieter times when possible.
