Myrtle Falls
Myrtle Falls, Mount Rainier National Park
Myrtle Falls Trail: 0.8 Miles Round Trip
Myrtle Falls is one of the most popular waterfalls in Mount Rainier National Park, and for good reason. Located in the Paradise area, not far from Paradise Inn and the Paradise Visitor Center, this beautiful waterfall is easy to reach and makes a great short walk (0.8 miles round trip) for anyone wanting to enjoy a classic Mount Rainier view without committing to a longer hike.
The Myrtle Falls Trail follows a paved portion of the Skyline Trail, making it one of the more accessible and family-friendly walks in the Paradise area. Along the way, you’ll enjoy open meadows, wildflowers during the summer months, and outstanding views of Mount Rainier when the mountain is out. The walk to the falls is relatively short, but the scenery is excellent from start to finish.
At Myrtle Falls, Edith Creek drops 72 feet over a rocky ledge, creating a wonderful sight with Mount Rainier rising above it in the distance.
For visitors exploring Paradise, Myrtle Falls is an easy and rewarding stop, and it pairs perfectly with a visit to Paradise Inn, the visitor center, or continuing a longer hike on the Skyline Trail.
