Old Faithful Inn, Yellowstone National Park.

Yellowstone National Park is one of the most amazing places on the planet, and is indeed one of America's most famous icons.  Created in 1872, Yellowstone National Park is the world's first national park. And to put this in perspective, Yellowstone Park was created 4 years before Custer's Last Stand at the Battle of the Little Bighorn!  This magical wonderland sprawls over 2 million acres in the Great American West, and is one of America's most valued treasures.

Having more than 10,000 hydrothermal features, Yellowstone National Park is home to approximately 50% of the entire world's hydrothermal features. Among these are the largest and most varied on the earth, such as Steamboat Geyser in the Norris Geyser Basin, or Grand Prismatic Spring in the Midway Geyser Basin.

Yellowstone National Park is also home to an amazing and diverse assortment of animals and plants, having over 65 species of mammals, more than 1,000 species of native flowering plants and several hundred types of birds. It is also where the native Yellowstone Cutthroat Trout continues to thrive, as well as many other types of fish, reptiles and amphibians.

All of this living diversity in Yellowstone National Park is surrounded by an incredibly beautiful landscape of inspiring mountains, valleys and canyons, as well as countless crystal clear lakes, rivers, streams and waterfalls.  There is no place like it on earth, and its YOURS to cherish and enjoy!

An American Tradition

Yellowstone National Park represents the true essence of America.  It is where generations of families have traveled for their family vacations for the last 100+ years.  It represents all that is good, simple and beautiful, and that is why not only millions of Americans keep flocking to Yellowstone National Park every year, but also millions of people all around the world.

Yellowstone National Park is "America's Home", and its doors are always open to welcome you back, no matter who you are or where you come from.

In this modern world that seems to be always changing, time seems to stand still in Yellowstone National Park.  Many things you remember as a child during your first visit here will still look the same today, such as the world famous Old Faithful Inn, or Madison Campground, or Artist's Point at the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone.  Even the smell of the pine trees and the geysers remain unchanged for your next visit to Yellowstone Park, and it will seem to you that you never left.  Yellowstone Park is a place of solitude and grandeur, and was set aside over 135 years ago for you and your family to discover and relish.
